I photographed this leafless oak tree on Saturday afternoon as I was hiking around
Oak Hill Park. It caught my eye as I glanced up the hill toward the sky...

Fine picture - leafless trees are made for it.
I threw a stone into the water to give a rather dead scene some action. It was a really dull day.
Welcome to the Maniacs.
That's wonderful. With the sun just bursting out from behind the branches.
What is hefeweizen? (I may have spelled that wrongly but i noticed you listed drinking it as one of your pleasures.)
Reminds me of a PBS program I saw recently that talked of natural replication. Seems like your photo demonstrates this. Or maybe it doesn't. Does have a lot of forks that look similar though. Nice one...
That's perfect. You played with light and transparency, it makes the tree so imposing in black.
I am enthusiastic. Beautiful photos.
I love it, it could be upside down and be the roots its so twisty
What a dramatic shot. Got a haunted feel to it.
Thanks for coming to my blog!
This is a perfect silhouette of that tree!
This is definitely an oldie, so appropriate featured in black and white for perhaps is is of that era. I love the detailing against the sky.
Lovely photos.
I’m thinking we share a general love of trees?
‘What we see depends mainly on what we look for’ . . . so true, so true.
Cheers!
