Watery Wednesday

I didn't have to travel to Japan to find a teahouse and
koi pond
instead I found them at the Japanese Garden in Hayward...

Another great photo! Besides the perfect reflection, the Eastern subject, and the lovely backdrop of trees, I really like the fact that one can easily see the beautiful koi.

Beautiful shot! I love the tea garden on San Jose. Haven't been in a long time. Tried to go to the tea garden on SF park in Dec. but the weather was uncooperative.
Have a great WW!

Gorgeous photograph. The reflections appear mirror and not water.

Great shot, and even better at full resolution!

Those are some serious koi in that pond!

I have heard so much about it and it was even featured in a local travel show, but I've never really been there. Your photo made me want to go really bad.

I must say that this one is perhaps one of the most scenic, the most wonderfully composed and the most brightly colourful water pictures i have ever seen. Absolutely fabulous!

PS. Thanks for visiting my doggy blog too. I had to laugh at the description 'majestic' as Luca also goes by the name 'court jester' in contrast to my Ljuba who goes by the name 'queen'. Tells something about their behaviour patterns :)

PPS. I remember you telling that you are partly finnish on your daddy's side.

How amazing! At first it looked like the house was floating above the water! Stunning image - and it must be thrilling to visit such a beautiful garden!

Taking a second look at this photo I notice that the koi run parallel to the major lines, which tickles me a bit. I like this even more now knowing that you are a fellow D40 user. Certainly not much reason to upgrade if you keep taking all these beautiful photos!

What a beautiful picture! It reminds me of some of the gardens I visited in China.
