Scenic Sunday

When I was in Washington last week, I was hoping to view
the colorful tulip fields, but because of the colder than usual winter,
they are a little behind in their bloom time. However,
I was pleasantly surprised to see that the daffodils were in full bloom...

Wow. Every time I see beautiful fields of flowers like this, I can't help but wonder where our fields of flowers are. I often see clumps of flowers but nothing even close to this!

Beautiful photo & I did like your story about your camera. Glad the ending wasn't too unhappy.

I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.
William Wordsworth

Great photo!

Beautiful sea of yellow, it really is wonderful looking.

I read your post on what happened to your camera and thought, there but for the grace of god go I. I have the same setup as you, D40 and 18-200mm lens and love it. Though I did just purchase a smaller point and shoot camera to carry every day to work; the Nikon was getting just too heavy to lug everywhere.

What a beautiful scene. We would never see that here in the sub tropics. Daffodils don't like our heat and humidity. Lucky you.
