Skywatch Friday

I've been so busy lately that I haven't had
any time to shoot off any new pics,
so I'll have to make do with
one from the archives taken with my Powershot...

Clear blue Canadian sky reflected in calm water...
Vancouver, Canada
(7/13/04)

Wow! What a fab photo! I love everything about it. It's great that the water, which looks like glass where the reflection is, can be seen to have a life of its own in the foreground.

Thanks for visiting my blog. Don't you love it when the water is like glass? It's almost as if you could turn the photo upside down and the water could be the sky.

Love the yellow glow.
And how the poles for the sails almost dwarf the buildings in the background.

I love this! The pure blue sky transitions to a compelling juxtaposition of the urban scene and the boats, the masts mingling with the tall buildings in a spiky and vibrating-with-energy kind of way, and then the scene transitions back to the peacefulness of the still water; fade to black. Very cool!

What a neat photo! I love how there is so much taking place - so many boats and buildings and colors, yet the lighting and the reflection and color of the water makes it appear to be so calm and peaceful. Very beautiful!

Hi and thanks for your visits even if i myself have been quite absent lately. Also I've had troubles opening people's blogs at times.

You've got many wonderful photos that I haven't seen before and it was a tight contest really. However I totally fell for this one. It's fantastic.
