was this at 200mm? If so, I've been about this close to one too. It landed on a tree top that was only a few feet taller than me and looked at me curiously before zooming off to do more circles in the sky.

I'm actually green with envy now. I'd love to get such a good photo of a magnificent predator like that. Only I'm always too late when I see a bird of pray just gaping and not clicking.

I am a bit weird I guess but to meet a lynx or a lone wolf close up would just make my day. A bear is where I draw the line. I'd rather not be close to one of them. Still I very much admire the predatorial beasts and spiders too.

Absolutely great shot this one.
