When I was about 12 or so, my family took a road trip from Washington down to Disneyland. I remember stopping along the highway in Big Sur and asking someone what the beautiful red flowers were. You've really captured them well here. Perfect backdrop for the bold color.

In case you're wondering...I use a Nikon D40 with a Nikkor 18-200 mm lens, my iPhone 5 or iPad, and I use iphoto or Aperture to do minor editing.
