Skywatch Friday

Always be sure to turn around periodically
as you're walking around shooting photos.
Sometimes the best scenes are
the ones that are behind you!
Here's what I saw
when I stopped looking ahead and did a 180...
Cuzco, Peru
(6/4/09)

I like how the light just bursts through.

Very cinematic effect. Before the big showdown, I think.

The beam of the light is very dramatic!

Dramatic & spectacular! I, too, am an advocate of looking back over one's shoulder. I've captured many spectacular scenes that way!

Nice architecture, very much influenced by the Spanish conquistadores. I've been busy learning some photoshop techniques.
P.S. H.G is is huge that if you spend one day you cannot cover all of it. That's why we have an annual pass. Funny, cause the flower meme that I join, thought that I have a beautiful garden (giggles) they're from H.G. So, was it USC or ASU?
Thanks for the visit.

Hi Linnea,

Thanks for visiting my blog, and I read your profile and I found out that we use the same camera, Nikon D40 rocks...isn't it?

Good advice and it's all so true that sometimes the best shots ARE behind you. Great shot!

Beautiful shot, Linnea. I agree - that same shot taken with the sun behind you would be completely different and I'm sure also merited a capture! Great composition on this as ever!
