What an incredibly beautiful photo! It was 110 degrees here today, but tomorrow, with a front coming through, it will ONLY be 99 degrees! Phew! A break in the heat!!!

The Impressionists loved to paint windows and doorways because they suggested passages, and were probably loaded with all sorts of symbolism along those lines. I love photos of gates for much the same reason: are they holding something in--or us out? Hmmm. This one's quite lovely, and the contrast is stunning. Thanks for posting it.
