This is a Lacecap Hydrangea.
They grow best in moist, but well-drained soil preferring a cool semi-shaded position.
I love their beautiful leaves as much as I love their delicate blossoms...

It is just gorgeous!
I've never seen one like that. It's just lovely, as if a florist had arranged it with baby's breath already.

very beautiful, I used to have a hedge, but it is gone.
Lovely color!
I think I like the Lace-caps better than the Mop-tops. Nice shot. MB
The colors are so beautiful. And, when I clicked to enlarge, the texture in the leaves are like fabric, just gorgeous.
Molto bella questa immagine floreale viola.

Have a great weekend!
I like the blues/purples, but the pinks are whites are nice to. Nice shot.
Such a gorgeous colour.
A stunner, my friend!
...I hope you don't forget who taught you that it was a "lacecap"
This is a beautiful macro of the hydrangea. The composition and color of the photo are wonderful.
Love the color!
What a gorgeous flower - and you're so right about the leaves!
How I envy the person who can keep these hydrangeas blooming.
Those are really beautiful.

I've always looked at the flowers before, not the leaves. Now that you point it out, the leaves are beautiful too! A perfect green, and the veins add so much textural interest!
A good flower close-up.
I have decided to follow your blog.
Happy weekends and may I come back for your latest postings soon.
