Usually the egrets hanging out at the marina
fly away the moment I point my camera at them.
This one didn't get away...
(enlarge the photo; I think the bird has a red spot on the end of its beak!)

Cool, I don't think I've seen a heron with a red bill like this before.
He does have a red spot on his beak!! What a terrific capture, Linnea! Sure looks a lot warmer than it did when we were down at the harbor here!! Hope your week is off to a great start! Enjoy!

Gorgeous capture!

Definitely something red at the end of his beak. And when the photo is enlarged, the water is just amazing, Linnea. I love it.

What a great shot! I love the reflection of the boat too.
Your header is great - the lighting combined with the dark sky is gorgeous!
Like the position of the heron and the reflection.
The water looks even more incredible enlarged, it almost looks like it has texture to it. Great capture!
that is nice red line and the back color of the bird. thanks for visit
That is a great photo! He does have red on his beak. Did you see that when you snapped the photo or only after you got it home? I often find things when I view my photos on the computer that I didn't notice when I took the photo. I love the reflection in the water. Great job!
WOW! Good eye! I love the wind-ripples throughout the photo.
Nice catch! You're right he does have red on his bill. :)
The end of egret's is red -- I've never seen anything like this before. I also like the reflection of the boat you've captured as well.
Fabulous shot.
Happy Ruby Tuesday!
Mine's here.
Your photo is a winner. In my books it's number one.
Yes, I can see red on the bill. Love the shimmery water reflection.
The strip of red in this photo is dazzling!
RED FOR A RUSH
O what would we do without red?
“I just can’t imagine,” she said.
“Vermilion and pink
Are colors, I think,
That make the blood rush to my head.”
