Skywatch Friday

I don't think I've ever posted two sky shots for one SWF episode before, but we've been having such dramatic skies here lately, that I couldn't resist...

Before the big storms - snow was on its way...
Anacortes, WA
(2/22/11)

And after the storms - a little bit of sunshine...

the ramshackle old building looks good with the sun shining on it.

What a wonderful post - I LOVE Anacortes! My husband and I lived there for a couple years and it is still one of our favorite locations!

I love the contrasting photos -- the two together really reminds me what it's like back there in the Pacific Northwest this time of year!

Great shots, it looks like some golden light in the second one. It's nice of nature to give us such variety of mood and light.

Beautiful shots. The first is more dramatic, but I like the second best.
Thanks for the visit!

It has been crazy weather! I like the lighting in your second shot after the storm has passed. Are you still up in Anacortes?

There's quite a difference between the two skies, but both are beautiful.

Your Washington make me nostalgic, as we used to live there. Your header is stunning.

I know these are supposed to be about the skies, but I really like that old building.

Nice job catching the essence of some storms...dark and threatening one moment, and then blue skies next.

Amazingly blue sky! Wonderful.

The contrast between the two shots is pretty striking. It helps us exiled desert rats to remember that the Northwest isn't always shrouded in clouds and mist. Have a great weekend--and perhaps more sun!
