Skywatch Friday

Two shots again for SWF...

A break in the parade of storms
that have been pounding Washington
(shot with my Canon point-and-shoot)...
Deception Pass Bridge, WA
(3/11/11)

Sunny, blue skies in California but not for long:
more rain is on its way
(shot with my iphone -
dropped my Nikon and smashed the filter and lens cap again)...
Danville, CA
(3/17/11)

I love the blue sky and the pink flower against it!

Of course I love the shot from Deception Pass, one of my favorite places! And the pink flowers against the blue sky are heavenly! Reminds me of the one I caught down at the harbor when you were here! Have a great weekend!

I have dropped my camera a few too many times, myself. I feel for you.

Indeed, another storm is heading in promising the Bay Area another wet weekend. The good news is that it helps offset those winters where rain was lacking.

My favorite subject and a clever view of it. That's me on the point near the amphitheater! ;)

The flowers against the sky's backdrop is beautiful and the serene scene across the bridge calls out..

You're back in the east bay? Just in time for the downpour. I love the name of that bridge.

Both of these pictures are just wonderful, but I especially like the second one. I'm sorry to hear about your filter and lens cap. I hope the lens is okay.

You got that right about the storms, unending. Today in Seattle they said showers but it was rain, rain, and more rain all day long. Do I sound cranky, perhaps?

Sympathy on dropped camera. I use a little one, but the time it slipped out of my hand on a ferry boat and I had a vision of it bouncing into the briny deep convinced me to ALWAYS keep that strap around my wrist.

Nice cherry blossoms. That iphone rocks.
