Ruby Tuesday

Cemeteries can offer wonderful photo ops,
especially when the lighting is just right.
The lighting wasn't at its best
as I strolled through this cemetery,
but the ruby red flowers embracing these tombstones
seemed to provide a touch of warmth and grace
to these fallen heroes...

So beautiful, Linnea. I've always thought more cemeteries should have flowers planted in them. Obviously, Victoria knows about gardens!

The cemetery I visited today on the island of Oahu was sadly neglected--quite unlike the well-kempt one in your photo.

A SEEKER OF CRIMSON AND RED

A seeker of crimson and red
Did part her fair lips as she said,
“A daiquiri’s fine,
And so is red wine,
But I prefer claret instead!”

Right those flowers in the cemetery really perks up an otherwise lonely place. :) Nice shot!
