Many communities in the San Francisco Bay Area
work very hard to preserve what little is left of their pioneer past.
The city of Dublin was able to recreate a little piece of life
from its early Irish settlers.
Here's the old Kolb Family Ranch home
which was moved from its former location a few miles away
to the city's new Heritage Park and Museum on Donlon Way.
The craftsman style house has been carefully restored
and now houses a museum and archives.
What you're seeing in this shot is the side entrance
with its classic yet simply-styled windows and doorway...

Wow, that is lovely! It does indeed look far more ranch-like than anything I've seen in the Bay Area :)
I'm glad they successfully restored and preserved it! Great find!
That is a huge covered verandah!
«Louis» knows exactly where this is! He thanks you for this fine contribution to Monday Doorways!

This is great - an Irish cottage infused with a California bungalow style. That covered porch is great when it is hot, the windows a great period style. To relax outside in the shade under cover would be a real treat!
What a great stoop on this house.
Great shot of this lovely old house. We have similar such homes in Australia and they are called "Californian bungalows".
i love craftsmen style homes, thanks for sharing...
The craftsman style house always looks so sturdy and down to earth.
Ah, Dublin--just up the road from Livermore where I once lived.
What a great house--almost craftsman style but not quite, almost ranch style but not that either. Love those diamond windows.
I love the looks of this house. That porch is wonderful.
Beautiful house.
Regards and best wishes
I love this style of architecture.
My favorite style of house... NEXT house.
