Sunday Bridge Series

Here's a nice view of the new eastern span (on the left) of the San Francisco Bay Bridge. It's replacing the old span (on the right). The old bridge is actually closed down to traffic in the westbound direction for the next four days as the workers are realigning lanes. This shot was taken when we went out boating a few weeks ago. The waters in the bay were exceptionally calm that afternoon.

We are all looking forward to the day
when the new span is operational -
maybe by Labor Day weekend 2013...

You still have a long time to wait!
In the meantime, you have lots of chances to watch the bridge being built (a mall comfort, I know!)

Great way of looking to a bridge. The secret of the underside. Like it

Great angle looking at the bridges. I am sure it will be nice to have both bridges open to traffic. Happy Sunday!
