Barn Charm

I drive by this barn every time
I head to my favorite hiking spot in Las Trampas.
This time I finally found a spot alongside the road
to pull over and photograph it.
It's quite charming, isn't it?
Near San Ramon, CA

Perfect barn - and perfect vantage point to shoot it from!

This is cool! I like that top section and the bright white door. It's a good feeling when that elusive photo shot is finally achieved!:>)

The old barn is a lil overgrown, but that can be taken care of easy enough... love the upper level vent/air holes & all that wood fencing! Looks like a beauty of a barn... now, it just needs a loving owner to restore her! LoL!

Thanks so much for joining, Linnea! =)

You just have to love those old barns.

This barn just "belongs" in this setting doesn't it? Don't know if it was intentional, but love your choice of shooting angle--the barn echoing the shape of the little hill behind it.

Now I'm going to check your travel blog to see if you've been places that I need to see.

That picture looks like a painting. You did a fantastic job in capturing the lighting, the grasses, the barn itself. Great.

It is indeed -- and not only did you find a good spot to pull off, but also you did it when the light was perfect. Great photo.
