Watery Wednesday

How lucky was I to spot this heron - I think that's
what it is - making a soft landing while I was savoring
the glistening waters off Sunset Beach?

Sunset Beach, Anacortes, WA

Great picture, Linnea. I will be spending some more time up in Anacortes in the coming weeks. Hopefully I'll have some great photo ops.

WOW! That is simply gorgeous! I enlarged the photo - and it was even more WOW! The focus in the shot is on the bird, so crispy clear! Making a perfect silhouet to that wonderful sunset!

Nicely captured! Was this from the same trip as your uhh bike rack accident? If so, I think we're all glad you saw this before you saw Dirty Biter.

This is great, Linnea. I love the colours and the silhouette of the bird.
By the way, the flowers in the post you visited on my blog were in a border outside Monet's garden at Giverny, France.

Amazing! I love the play of the reflection on the water and the horizon in the background. It looks like you post for a few blogs. Check out a new one I started if you like. picniker'sparadise.blogspot.com

You do get some of the most magnificent photos! I love this one... I can just hear the soft waves lapping against the shore and maybe some birdsong here. Such a beautiful photo would look great hanging on your wall!
