I can handle that kind of "inclement" weather :)

Very nice, I've always wanted to go and visit.

Just today my wife and I were talking about how beautiful Washington is. This fits right into the conversation.
Great photo.

Wow. I'm going out West soon to visit my sister in California. If I have time, I really have to go up to Washington.

It's funny that the first word that came into my mind when I saw this photo was "perfect". Then I glanced through the comments and saw that word used 2 other times. So I'm going to make it 3...
PERFECT! Love this photo:)

In all its simplicity (or perhaps just because it) this is a masterpiece Linnea. There's depth and symmetry and I love how the skyline and the waterline almost fade together on each side of the island.

Lovely island, looks like it's floating in the water. Great shot! Happy SWF!

the only reason is wasnt raining in that photo is because all your rain has been here in NYC for a week!

So beautiful!! I have a friend who grew up in Washington and she always talks about how beautiful it is.

Oh, it's just a lie we tell to keep more Californians from moving here. :) I had to look up Burrows Island, since I hadn't heard of it before. I guess the lighthouse must be around the other side. Happy SWF!

My first thought was 'Bali Hai'. What a beautiful, peaceful scene. By the way, re your comment, I think we do often take similar photos, but yours are better composed!

I love all the photos on this page, but this one is a stunner. The sea (or Sound?) is like glass and the island floats in the sky. Wonderful.

What an amazing island photograph ... I love the various shades of blue and the shadowy reflection too. Sorry I've not visited in a while. Life's been BUSY, but I'm taking time to do some catch up this morning ... finally. I'm glad I didn't miss THIS ;--)
Hugs and blessings,
