Watery Wednesday

The only way to get from Fidalgo Island to neighboring
Guemes Island is by this little ferry boat.
The ride only takes a few minutes as it's only
one kilometer from dock to dock,
but the channel between Anacortes and little Guemes
can have tidal flows of up to four knots
and the winds can blow quite strongly, too.

I always like to stop and watch the ferry
plow back and forth, especially when the channel waters are rough.
Today's watery photo shows a very calm day, though...

I can imagine it's fun to watch the ferry. Calming.
Lovely shot too, the nature in the background must be a great place for nice walks :)!

I bet the ride on a rough day can be a bit daunting! Nice capture.

Great image of a great place. This is the kind of places I enjoy a lot when I have the opportunity to visit, Which is rarely. :(

Linnéa is my middle name so I feel related to you in a manner. Have you seen the flower that also has our name?

I'm glad the water is smooth, otherwise I might get seasick looking at the photo. --- OK, you're right. I'm only kidding. ;-)
