Skywatch Friday

As we were boating back to Fidalgo Island
through the San Juans,
we were mesmerized by
this spectacular hazy sun
setting over distant Vancouver Island...

Wow! I don't they come more evocative than this--or more envy-inducing. I'm always grateful that you manage to bring the northwest down to the southwest so beautifully; this is definitely a keeper.

Yep, that sun sure looks familiar! You got it at a great time-- just when it was turning red, but when it still was bright enough to leave that gorgeous trail. Last night was my third night in a row trying to capture the REDness of it... it wasn't as easy as I thought! Think I'll take tonight off. Enjoy Anacortes, I love that town!

What an unusual color! Good shot, Linnea!

[Yes, The Great Wall is best seen in April/May or Sept/Oct, but I don't tire of it anytime, even with the heat and smog! I have a shot of me with a sweat drop at the end of a curl :-D]

Your photo is fantastic! The reflection is superb! Wondering if our amazing red evening sun is due to forest fires in Canada. :(

Beautiful image, both the sky and the reflective water.. The haze sure makes for some lovely colors. Looks like a wonderful place for a kayak.
