Skywatch Friday

Coming from Whidbey Island to Fidalgo, my timing couldn't have been more perfect. I parked the car and walked halfway across Deception Pass Bridge (180 ft. high) and watched this spectacular sunset unfold. The churning waters below show the extreme tidal action so typical around these islands...

We've been wanting to visit Whidbey Island in the worst way for a few years now (and my husband is pining to sail in that area), and your gorgeous photo is another powerful siren song that only motivates us further to make that trip! Absolutely stunning! I love a sunset with clouds in it, and how the setting sun gilds their ruffly edges in gold. So, so pretty!
